How it works
Your browser generates a fresh random challenge and shows it as a QR code. You watched it happen — so you know it's new.
Your KEY scans it and signs it with an attestation key sealed in its secure element, then displays the signed reply as a QR.
Your browser checks the signature and confirms the device key is on Favilla's public genuine list — and not revoked.
A counterfeit can copy our enclosure; it cannot sign a challenge it has never seen with a key it doesn't hold. The maths runs locally in your browser — read the page source, it's all there. The security page covers the rest of the model.
This page checks that the device is genuine. To check the seed it generated — XOR the two entropy layers yourself and watch the words fall out — use the seed verifier.
